Meet Sadikshya

“I wanted to dress the woman who dresses for herself — not for the room.”

Sadikshya trained her eye in Nepal and brought it to Mumbai, where she now cuts every Florangi gown herself, to one body at a time. When you message Florangi, you're talking to her — the person who'll sketch your gown is the one who answers your first hello.

    Talk it through — a higher neckline, a longer hem, sleeves, another colour or fabric, a closer fit. She shapes it with you, and suggests what works from years of dressing women for their evening.

    She takes your measurements and confirms the quote in writing — then your gown is cut to your body over about 1–2 weeks.

    The finished piece is hand-pressed, boxed and delivered — ready for the occasion you dressed for.

What does a Florangi gown cost?

Made-to-order gowns are ₹6,000–20,000 all-in, depending on fabric, detail and silhouette. Your final quote is confirmed in writing before any work begins — no surprises.

How long does a gown take to make?

Most gowns are ready in 1–2 weeks from your confirmed measurements, so even a close occasion is usually possible. Ask us on WhatsApp if your event is sooner.

How are my measurements taken — do I need to visit?

Either way. You can be measured in person in Mumbai, or we will guide you through measuring at home over WhatsApp video — many clients order entirely remotely.

What if the fit isn't right?

Because every gown is made to your measurements, fit is built in — and we refine the finished piece if anything needs adjusting, so it sits exactly as it should.

Can I order from outside Mumbai?

Yes. Consultations and measurements happen over WhatsApp video and your gown is delivered to you — clients across India and abroad order this way.

Do you make sizes above or below standard ranges?

There are no size limits. Every Florangi gown is cut to your own measurements rather than graded to a size chart, so the fit begins from your body and not from the nearest standard size. You can be measured at the Mumbai atelier, or guided through measuring at home over WhatsApp video.

How far ahead should I order?

Two to three weeks before your date is ideal. Gowns are ready in 1–2 weeks from confirmed measurements, which leaves room for the consultation and fabric without rushing. If your occasion is sooner than that, message us on WhatsApp — a closer date is often still possible.

Can I order a gown as a wedding guest?

Yes — wedding guests are much of what Florangi makes. Sangeet, cocktail, engagement and reception pieces are all cut to measure, from ₹6,000 and ready in 1–2 weeks. Tell us the occasion and the dress code on WhatsApp and we will suggest silhouettes that suit both the event and how you want to move.

What fabrics do you work with?

Silks first — raw silk, lotus silk and satin — alongside georgette, lace, gold-flecked brocade, and cotton-linen canvas for lighter daytime pieces. Fabric is chosen with you at the consultation, and it is one of the three things that set the price, along with detail and silhouette.

Who makes the gowns?

Sadikshya Gautam, who founded Florangi, designs and oversees every gown herself. It is a deliberately small house — one woman, one gown at a time — so the person who takes your measurements is the person answerable for the finished piece.
